FAQ's (Insurance)

Do you accept my insurance?

We are in-network with several major insurance providers, including AmeriHealth, Aetna, Cigna, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ, Humana, Medicare, United Healthcare, and Tricare. If you're unsure about your specific plan, don't worry—our team is happy to verify your benefits before your first visit so there are no surprises.

Will I have a copay or out-of-pocket cost?

That depends on your individual insurance plan. Some plans have a copay, while others may have a deductible or coinsurance. Once we verify your benefits, we’ll explain everything clearly so you know exactly what to expect. We believe in transparency and will always keep you informed.

What makes an in-network practice different?

Being in-network means we’ve partnered with your insurance company to offer care at a lower negotiated rate. This often translates to lower out-of-pocket costs for you, easier claims processing, and fewer billing headaches. You get expert, personalized care without the financial guesswork.

Do I need a referral or prescription to start physical therapy?

It depends on your insurance. Some plans require a doctor’s referral or prescription, while others allow you to come directly to us. If you're not sure, don’t stress—we’re happy to check and help coordinate with your provider’s office if needed.

Why do you have an attendance policy and what is it?

At Practically Perfect Physical Therapy, your time—and your therapist’s—is valuable. Each appointment is reserved just for you. If you need to cancel, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice.Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice and not rescheduled within the same week are subject to a $50 fee, as our therapists do not get paid when a patient doesn’t attend their scheduled visit. We get it—life happens!

That’s why we offer flexible options to help you keep your care on track:Feeling under the weather or stuck without a ride? Ask us about pivoting to a virtual visit.Struggling with childcare? Kids are welcome to come with you!
